Human-Computer Interaction
When it comes to human-computer interaction, I always think of user interface or UIX, web designing, and applications. The reason being is because of my passion for digital art and graphic design. But after taking a course in HCI and interning at two companies: Geisel Software and GE Healthcare, it is more than just art. It is about reaching human needs and their interaction with technology. It is also about the process in reaching the goal of providing a meaningful and relevant experience to users.
My HCI Project
Make Your Trip: Planning the Cost for Your Favorite Destination
A project done for HCI was recreating a traveling destination app, where a user gets to decide what place they want to go to and plan out their total budget.
I choose to go with this topic because I am a huge fan of traveling and always wanted to travel. I always wanted to formulate my own kind of budget sheet and often desire to have my own freedom of deciding how much I want to spend rather than clicking on price buttons.
Also, I believe users would want to be more interactive with their choices and that the design should be more convenient for them to do so.
Here is the run through of my process of making the application:
Phase 1: Ideation, Initial User Analysis
Phase 2: Low-Fi Prototype & Visual Design
